The Reputation
Institute is pleased to announce that, for our 10th
International Conference on Corporate Reputation, we’re back home in
New York City! The 10th Anniversary Conference will be held May
25-28, 2006. So please put those dates in your calendars — and join
us in celebrating ten years of reputation research and analysis with
fellow thinkers and practitioners from around the world.
Conference Theme:
Creating Value Through Stakeholder Alignment
Papers and presentations
will be reviewed by the organizing committee. Selected papers will
be presented at the conference and authors of the best rated papers
will also be invited to publish their work in a "10th Anniversary
Edition" of the Corporate Reputation Review.
We invite you to
participate in developing research panels, roundtable discussions
and case studies on topics related to corporate reputation, with a
particular focus on the conference theme:
-
How can companies
improve stakeholder alignment?
-
How does stakeholder
alignment generate economic value?
-
What’s the empirical
evidence for this?
-
Does alignment build
reputation?
-
Does a loss of
reputation dissolve the bonds that bind stakeholders to
companies?
-
Is alignment a form
of ‘organizational capital’ or ‘social capital’ that helps
create intangible value?
-
Are questions of
alignment fundamental to corporate strategies of going public,
mergers & acquisitions, or vertical integration?
The conference theme
reflects the Reputation Institute’s mission to advance and create
knowledge about corporate reputation and to ensure that companies
capitalize on their intangible assets. Since our first conference in
New York in 1997, we’ve been to many of the world's capitals and
explored countless cross-cultural aspects of reputation management.
In 2005, 200 of us gathered in Madrid to discuss and debate
questions of Corporate Accountability. We have no doubt that a
re-invigorated New York will attract many of us to discuss questions
of reputation loss and reputation gain, strategic alignment, and
value creation.
SCHEDULE
The conference will open
on the evening of Thursday May 25th and close with brunch on Sunday
May 28th, leaving ample time to enjoy the Memorial Day festivities
in the NY area.
